Inspiring Others To Optimal Well-Being
My name is Rob and I started down the health and wellness path over 10 years ago beginning like most, wanting to build a better physique while improving my fitness and wellbeing. I became heavily involved in the body building world for a few years where I was able to have good results with gaining muscle and strength while shredding fat. I then got an itch to push myself through endurance exercise where I competed in various obstacle course races, 5ks, 10ks, marathons, triathalons and even quadrathalons. I have also studied in martial arts such as Krav Maga and Jiu Jitsu as well as learning other mental and spiritual skills such as the Wim Hof Method, Soma Breathwork, tai chi, qigong, along with various forms of yoga and meditation. I have an immense passion for continuing to learn as much as possible about health and I am consistently experimenting and self quantifying in order to stay on the cutting edge to find the best strategies and techniques available for complete human optimization.
As I continued to grow and elevate my consciousness, I started to understand the importance of all the other aspects that are essential for a well rounded healthy life, not just diet and exercise. Factors like hidden environmental issues, relationships, spirituality, emotions, hormones, genetics, recovery, behavioral psychology, mindset and much more. Currently, along with coaching, I'm working as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the home-care setting. I help patients with their rehabilitation needs focusing on strength, endurance, mobility, body mechanics, balance etc. I incorporate many modalities such as manual therapy, corrective exercise, yoga, pain mitigation and breathing techniques. I enjoy participating in many activities with family and friends such as sports, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, going to the beach, snowshoeing, cooking and gardening.
My wife and I lost our 2 year old daughter in 2018 to a very aggressive brain cancer called DIPG in which there are limited treatment options and less than 1% survival rate. Through this process I have learned many lessons I want to share as we were challenged mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Now my focus has shifted to help people going through a similar situation understand, cope and improve overall well being. While at the same time achieving a balanced lifestyle and optimal health through body, mind and spirit practices with a back to nature and scientific approach. So whether you want to improve mental/emotional trauma, gain muscle, burn fat, sleep better, hit a PR, improve an obstacle course race time, optimize environment, heal nagging injuries, enhance cognition, or embark on a spiritual practice I have the tools and experience to help achieve your goals!
